C I R C U S M A X I M U S

This past summer, a friend of ours ran a game of Circus Maximus at one of our local gaming stores.

Some of you may recognise him as Tim Kask, Editor of The Dragon magazine from TSR back in the 70's.

The Gorb and I could'nt stay for the entire game but it looked like a fun time was had by all.

Here's a shot of the enlarged board and the miniatures (sculpted by the late Dennis Mise from Ral Partha).

Here's a shot of the chariots coming down the back stretch.

4 Chariots in the starting line-up.

Drivers racing side by side may be subject to a viscous lash attach!.

4 horse teams and skilled drivers vie for glory!

Here's Tim on the right with local gaming legend David Gump on the left. Alas I've lost my notes for this game and can not identify the other players

Here they are fresh out of the starting gate. Horses heaving at the reigns, drivers straing to control their behemoths. The crowd roars!

Going into the first turn, it could be treacherous, the crowds is on pins and needles!

The drivers enter the curve, praying to be the first to exit it safely.

The pack follows, chariots straing and creaking, hooves thundering, each trying to grab an advantage.

Overall it was a good time. Thanks for viewing.
